CEA Leadership Forum Southwest

April 7, 2017

8am – 12pm at the University Park Marriott

880 E. 2nd St. Tucson, Arizona 85719

The “CEA Leadership Forum Southwest” will have a variety of presentations and a open forum discussion bout the future of CEA and the role it will play in advancing secure food sources for sustaining our urban populations.

This is be an opportunity for reflection of previous day’s sessions and a more intimate discussion regarding CEAC’s role in research advancements and training “the next generation of farmers for an urban agriculture revolution." - Arizona Daily Star.

In December 2016, we selected a variety of participants to complete a questionnaire entitled “A New Age of Agriculture”.  The participants we selected based on their involvement in CEA, its research and education, or food production which made their input valuable to CEAC in helping us optimize our efforts on immediate research needs of the industry.  We’ve compiling the ideas shared in order to establish a baseline of the current state of the industry’s challenges, trends, and imminent opportunities in preparation for the “CEA Leadership Forum Southwest”, at which we will review the results and discuss the opportunities CEAC may have to advance our program, our students (traditional & non-traditional), and the industry, to address the needs of the future.
